Do You Remember Danger Mouse?

 If your as old as me you will remember Danger Mouse as one of the greatest kids tv shows of the 80's and 90's. Danger Mouse was a one eyed white mouse that worked for the British government as a secret agent. His hideout was underneath an iconic British red postbox. Aided by his cowardly hamster assistant Penfold Danger Mouse would save the world from danger.

Created by the company Cosgrove Hall, Danger Mouse was one of the first British cartoons that was also made succesful in the United States.Cosgrove were also responsible for many other classic cartoons from my childhood but thats another hub.

From 1981-1992 Danger Mouse graced our screens. During this amazing reign some 89 episodes were created.Danger mouse captured the imagination of its young viewers (Me included) with its funny script and absolute mad storylines. The comedy was very british and was very similar to the Monty Python style of comedy albeit toned down for a younger audience.

The worlds greatest secret agent. Danger Mouse or DM as he was often referred. Keeping us all safe from danger and the evil villians of the world.

 DM's cowardly hamster assistant. Penfold was famous for his witty catchphrases like oooh crumbs and ooo eckk. In nearly every episode Penfold would get himself in to trouble only to be saved by our hero Danger Mouse.

 Colonel K - The man in charge,he used to contact danger mouse by video screen and give him his missions. Many people mistake Colonel K for a hamster but in actual fact he was a chinchilla.

 Danger Mouse's arch enemy Baron Greenback is the typical villian out to take over the world and make money. He loathes Danger mouse who always mangaes to thwart his evil plans.

 Baron Greenbacks right hand man,well crow actually. The italian crow works for Baron Greenback in the field trying to put an end to our hero danger mouse. When aired in the U.S Stiletto's surname wasn't used so as not to offend italian americans.

Stiletto is most noted for his catchphrase Si Barone!.
